The United States

Smock Dresses

Smock dresses are popping up throughout the US, gearing up to be the summer fashion trend of the year. These dresses can go from lengthy, maxi dress styles to more retro knee high cuts. They are also available in a wide range of patterns.

Chunky Block Heels:

If you thought block heels died in the 90’s guess again. These heels are back with a vengeance and we are slightly relieved. Not only are they comfortable, but you can pair them with jeans to give a casual outfit some added edge.

Yes, Birkenstocks. In fact, the unusual shoe trend is predicted to take up a large portion of the show market this year thanks to their unexpected return to fashion. Birkenstocks even offers a new, rubber sandal that is said to be the “new flip flop”.

Wrap Dresses:

If there’s one thing French women know, it’s how to dress. Wrap dresses are the perfect trend to make a comeback as they work for virtually any body type.

Another trend we don’t mind making a comeback is jumpsuits. Not only are jumpsuits flattering on most body types, but they are also incredibly easy to take from day to night.

Flared Pant Legs:

Japan takes a page from the hippie era with flared pant legs making a comeback. We have to say the dramatic, borderline skirt sized flares actually create a great contrast when worn with a well fitting top or body suit.

Flat Sandals:

Japanese women know comfort and are leaning towards flat sandals that offer plenty of it. However, as comfortable as these sandals may be, they are also incredibly stylish and feature delicate details and accessories.

Shirt Dresses:

This trend is one we see popping around the world, likely due to its flexibility. Shirt dresses are not only feminine and flattering, but they can also be worn to the office, on a date, or to brunch with the girls.

Tennis Shoes:

We’re not sure if its due to the amount of butt-kicking Serena Williams has been doing lately, but tennis shoes are also a rising trend in Mexico. Not only is this trend flexible, but we’re loving all the new sneaker designs that are being unveiled lately.

Saudi Arabia

Lighter Hued Hijabs:

With more outfits paring together hijabs with designer jeans, we’re seeing hijabs in more lighter and feminine colored hues. These apply the right amount of contrast to an outfit that would otherwise be too casual.

Leather Jackets:

Argentinean women are looking cool no matter what the weather is with the return of the leather jackets. The jackets come in a variety of styles and can be used to dress up or dress down any outfit. We’re loving how Argentina is leaning towards bolder and brighter colors for their motorcycle jackets.

Another country that knows the value of a great jumpsuit! Argentina is pairing jumpsuits with everything from stilettos to flats and we are loving their bohemian vibes.

Flared Trousers:

While Brazil may be following japans leads on flared trousers, they aren’t taking the trend quite as far. The flares found in Brazil aren’t nearly as wide or dramatic. Still, they are pulling the look off beautifully.

Corduroy is popping up everywhere in Brazil, from jackets and skirts to even headbands. While we weren’t expecting this fabric material to make a comeback, we’re kind of glad it did. After all, who doesn’t love the soft feel of Corduroy?

The UK

Button-Up Dresses:

Its a good year for button-up dress manufacturers. This is the third country on our list to incorporate some variation of the look into their wardrobe as the weather warms up. One of the great things about this trend is that there is no wrong way to wear a button up dress.

Head Scarves:

Women in the UK are also adding style and flair to their hairstyles by incorporating vibrant head scarfs tied in all sorts of unique ways. The flexibility of this trend makes it easy to incorporate into any outfit choice.

White Trousers:

The women of Spain make style look effortless. Which is why it was no surprise when white trousers made a comeback. Paired with anything from a button up blouse to a retro band t-shirt, this look walks the line between polished and edgy.

Maxi Dresses:

With the rising heat in Spain comes the need for something comfortable, beautiful, and cool. Enter the maxi dress. The maxi dress is another trend that likely gains its popularity from how versatile of a look it is. Whether you go with patterns or solid colors, everyone looks good in a maxi dress.

South Africa

Ankle Boots:

South Africa has been turning heads in the fashion world with their bold and sexy trends. Case in point, the hot ankle boots that have been turning up all over the country. We love how flattering they are on almost any leg shape and their classically retro feel.
