Cancer is a deadly disease, which occurs due to the uncontrolled growth of the abnormal cells in the bodies of the individuals. Cancer initiated with modifications in a cell or a cluster of cells. During the process of cell division, mutation may occur. Some mutations are such that the cells lose their control and start growing unconditionally and abnormally. 1. Non Organic Veggies and Fruits

These veggies and fruits are exposed to a lot of chemicals and hormones, which help them to grow at a faster pace and bigger in size as well. But, these are highly carcinogenic. The second common cancer causing foods include the canned food items. The most essential cause of concern for the canned foods is the can itself. This is because, the cans are made up of a harmful chemical, known as BPA or bisphenol-A. And tomatoes in the cans are extremely dangerous because of their high levels of acidity. The acid content in the tomatoes causes the bisphenol-A to leach out from the lining of the cans. And they get added to the tomatoes themselves. This may cause a wide array of complications like diabetes, reproductive complication, cancer, etc. So, people should avoid consuming canned tomatoes to lead a healthy life.
3. Refined Sugar
The refined sugar is yet another important food that causes cancer. It has the tendency to increase the level of insulin hormone steeply in the body of the individuals. This ensures the growth of the cancer cells at a faster pace. The refined sugars contain HFCS (High fructose corn syrup) and other sweeteners, which are rich in fructose. These are highly carcinogenic and promote the growth of the cancerous cells, which proliferate at a faster rate. Thus, the intake of the cakes, cookies, pies, juices, sodas, cereals and sauces are highly restricted for inhibiting the growth of the cancer.
4. Processed Meat
Processed meat are the meats, which are preserved frozen or by curing, smoking, salting or adding certain chemical preservatives. The processed meat has nitrites or nitrates. The food additives present in the processed meat prevent the growth of the bacteria and other microorganisms in it. They also impart freshness, flavor, color and appealing appearance to the meat. At the same time, these are highly carcinogenic in nature. Also, the smoking meat has the deadly tar, which the cigarette smoke contains. 5. GMO or Genetically Modified Organisms
GMOs are organisms, which are created by the insertion of genes from a species to other organisms in order to obtain and increase the desired traits of the organisms. The most commonly modified organisms are corn, soya beans, cotton, canola, squash, papaya, zucchini and some others. These GMOs have a higher percentage of toxins and harmful substances present in them. These lead to a lot of physiological complications like birth defects, sterility and cancer. In fact, the procedure of producing a GM organism may result in massive collateral damage, which leads to the formation of several toxic substances, allergens and carcinogens to a huge extent.
