Simply add a glass or more of wine in the manure or fertilizer for your garden. The alcohol will give the bacteria a push to activate quickly. It also helps to keep away harmful bacteria that may attack your plantation. You can also use the same for indoor plants and flowers. Just be careful not to add too much to attract flies instead.
5. To Clear Grease Stains
Grease stains can be a nuisance, especially if you can’t get them off quickly enough. Your favorite red wine might just be your savior. The acidic content in red wine is strong enough to break down the grease components making them easier to wash off. So, soak your grease stained clothing in a solution or bath of water and wine. Soak the mixture for about 30 minutes and wash. You can get even better results, if you add in a little bit of baking soda.
Apart from the above named, wine can also be used as a DIY home dye. Most people use it to restore the deep wine red color of their garments or shoes by simply soaking the items in a solution of red wine.
