Dangers of Internet for kids have become very popular these days. Most of the kids, these days are glued to the internet and they show a high level of digital proficiency in their online presence. Parents are generally uninformed, overwhelmed or not equipped to sufficiently protect their kids online. As a matter of fact, internet child pornography today is a $3 billion industry annually and this also happens to be the fastest growing online business. Literally everybody—including your kid—is only one click away from being a potential victim of the online dangers.

Some of the dangers of internet for kids are:

1. Pornography

Viewing pornographic content right from a young age can distort one’s sexual beliefs and attitudes. It may lead them to believe that there is nothing wrong about sexual habits such as one night stands, having friends with benefits and casual sexual relationships with friends.

2. Internet Predators

Although the internet seems like the perfect platform to meet new people, it has its own share of predators, who are always on the lookout for potential victims. These internet predators are becoming the essential dangers of internet for kids. They are generally manipulating your kids into befriending them and gaining their trust. Some of them could turn into offline relationships and in extreme cases can be a perfect opportunity for kidnapping or abduction.

3. Social Networking

Today, there are too many social networking platforms and most of them have an access to our private information. Often, the kids are not aware and generally least concerned about privacy trespassing. But parents need to be aware of the imminent bad image their kids might be portraying or the negative influence he might be absorbing through his social networks.

4. Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying is yet another dangers of internet forkids. It is defined as the exchange of hurtful words in the digital world, often for personal gains or revenge. In such cases, rumors develop instantly and they spread even more quickly. This can bring down the image of the victim and the family in the society. Social profiles and personal e-mails are easily hacked to extract personal information and defame the victim.

In light of the above, I would highly recommend a new software called “Familoop Safeguard”, which is essentially a superior software for parental control that provides parents with a snapshot view of their kid’s digital friends, interests and intents. This intelligent software is designed to identify digital threats. These include communication with strangers. This software can be one of the effective ways to stop cyberbullying, which has become a major concern for parents these days.

Smart parents can make a note as “Familoop Safeguard” is getting launched this September, 2015. Also, the vendor provides for smart parents for opting early and getting a discount of 60%. So, make hay while the sun shines.
